Valentine's Day

I am typically a very low-key lady. I am not a super fan of Valentine's Day in general seeing as I feel like love should be shown all year long, not just one day. However,  I was certainly shocked this year with a big balloon (I love balloons), red roses ( I love flowers), and chocolate (need I say more?). The calendar and valentine's day jelly beans I got him was far inferior, but it was the thought that counts, right?
Again, I am one lucky lady.

My valentine with his lovely gifts.

 One happy lucky girl.

Okay, so we may have played nerf guns, watched Netflix, and played Super Mario Brothers all day. It was just what I needed - relaxation without any place to go.

27 Birthday

It has officially been 3 years since I started this blog. I am so happy to have all of my memories documented with videos, pictures, and journal entries. It is so much fun for me to look back on how much I have grown up over the past few years and it makes me excited on the years to come. They can slow down though, don't want them to come too fast.

This year, for my birthday, I had 3 things on my "To Do" list.
1. Exercise
2. Dinner with Braxton and Mom & Dad
(plus cuddle time with Lucky Pup)
3. Drinks with a good friend

Fortunately, all my birthday wishes came true and I had a relaxing weekend enjoying the simple things in life and cake. Lots of cake.

(more pics to come)
 My surprise birthday banner!

My surprise birthday balloon/flowers/watch. He certainly knows how to make me feel special!

 A gluten-free birthday cake! Yum!

Dancing to my birthday balloon that plays a fun version of "happy birthday"

Cheers to 27. Best year yet, I bet. :)

Punta Cana - Mama Juana y Coco Locos!

This past January we took a last minute, and unexpected, vacation to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic with the graduating PA Class. We stated at the beautiful, Ocean Blue and Sand Resort. This was an all-inclusive affair - drinks, food, nightly shows, and much needed Vitamin D from the sunshine. This 5 day getaway backed up to snow, which was a pleasant reprieve from the bad weather. Enjoy these warm, sunny, and belated pics from the DR.

Beautiful sunset on the first day.

The gang's all hear. Surprisingly, the lobby was a beautiful open air place to hang out after dinner and enjoy a few Coco Locos.

Before dinner at one of the yummy restaurants.

Girls pic after dinner one night!

 Guys pic!

 5 days of a pool/ocean view!

Aerobics Acuaticos with Juan Ramon. I was just an observer to these, but there was certainly a show.

Pool Volleyball was so much fun! So were our friends from Brazil.

Beach panoramic shot. Sunny days ahead for sure.
